1. Who we are
This website is operated by Luca Russo, trading as Astra Consulting, based in Nyon, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. For any question about this policy or your personal data, you can reach us at hello@astraconsulting.ch.
Astra Consulting provides career coaching and related advisory services to students and recent graduates. This policy applies to visitors of astraconsulting.ch and its language subdomains (the "Site").
2. What personal data we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
We collect personal data you choose to share with us, specifically:
- Contact form: when you send us a message through the Site, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Booking a call: when you choose to book a discovery call, you are taken to a scheduling tool operated by Calendly, LLC. Calendly collects your name, email address, and any other details you enter on its booking page directly. We receive the booking details (such as your name and email, and anything you note in the booking form) once you confirm a time slot.
2.2 Information collected automatically
If you accept analytics cookies through the cookie banner on this Site, Google Tag Manager loads and may set cookies that collect standard web analytics information, such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and referring website. This data is processed in aggregate to help us understand how the Site is used. It does not load and no such data is collected unless you have actively accepted it.
Your language preference is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) so the Site remembers your choice on your next visit. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
2.3 Information from third-party services
When you use Calendly to book a call, Calendly acts as an independent data controller for the information you provide on its platform, governed by Calendly's own privacy policy. We do not control how Calendly processes that data beyond the booking details it shares with us.

4. Cookies and similar technologies
This Site uses a cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit. Until you actively accept, Google Tag Manager and Calendly's scheduling script do not load, and no related cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the Site's footer.
The categories of cookies and storage used on this Site are:
- Strictly necessary: your cookie consent choice itself, and your language preference, both stored locally in your browser.
- Analytics (consent-based): cookies set by Google Tag Manager once you accept.
- Functional, third-party (consent-based): cookies set by Calendly once you accept and choose to book a call.

6. International data transfers
Some of the providers listed above are based in, or process data in, the United States or other countries outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards each provider has in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent frameworks recognised under Swiss and EU law. We recommend reviewing each provider's own policy for the specific mechanism that applies.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep contact form and booking-related personal data for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or deliver the service you booked, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you follow up, generally no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is required to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to or restrict its processing, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. Swiss residents hold these rights under the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP); residents of the European Economic Area hold equivalent rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which we extend to EU visitors as a matter of policy.

9. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
This Site is intended for students, recent graduates, and parents, and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or to applicable law. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
